Neighborhood Work
The dining table had become a second desk — mail, backpacks, the slow archaeology of family life. We cleared the visual weight, added task lighting at the right height, and brought back the chairs nobody sat in.
First dinner party in four years — three weeks after handoff.
Counter space had been surrendered one appliance at a time. The coffee maker, the toaster, the air fryer nobody asked for. We mapped the actual workflow, found twelve inches of hidden counter, and stopped the bleeding.
